Ledgewood Hills was interested in saving money on monthly utility costs, while “going green”. Throughout the duration of the project, Turn Cycle Solutions worked extensively with the property manager from Foxfire Management Inc., the property management company.
Turn Cycle Solutions first conducted an energy efficiency inspection of the property. TCS then conduct over 500 hours of air sealing to the attics of Ledgewood’s six mid-rise buildings. In addition to the air sealing of the mid-rise buildings’ attics, TCS installed low flow aerators, low flow showerheads, and programmable thermostats for individual condo homeowners. The entire project was completed in approximately three weeks, with no interruption to the daily lives of the residents at Ledgewood Hills.
The Ledgewood Hills project was valued at more than $45,000, but all was paid for with no cost to the property management organization or condominium residents through Liberty Utilities Weatherization program. The estimated energy reduction and utility savings is roughly 20 to 30 percent of the property’s original energy usage.
